When I was young, the teacher asked everyone about our dream career in the future. I didn’t hesitate to choose the career as a teacher. I think the teacher is a very respectable career who can let us from a blank sheet of paper to full color. I also have a passion for helping my friends and others.

 

I remember that my internship after graduation was to teach students to paint, to help children know paint and brushes, and to inspire their creativity. when my friend and I tried to plan a children's paint studio during a summer holiday. This idea jumped in my mind also because I always enjoy teaching children.

 

After that, I work as a lecturer in a publishing house, and I am mainly responsible for training children's teaching materials. On business trips in various cities across the country, contacted people from different regions, and instruct nursery’s teachers to use our publishing textbook . For example, many new materials have been introduced in art textbooks. Firstly, I help the teacher to be familiar with them so that children can use new materials to create. I am an active person. In the subsequent work, I spent more time to learn , practice and get involved with many activities and events as well.

 

In finally , my friend and I realized our idea. We opened a studio named” Yicai” that teaches children painting in Nanjing. From interior decoration and wall painting, equipment purchase, publicity and enrollment, course design, and actual teaching, we all do it ourselves. We simplified the traditional Chinese ink painting to make it as simple as possible. For children of different ages, the focus is different. Preschool children mainly use a variety of materials to cultivate interest in painting; primary school students understand colors, use different materials to stimulate creativity, and combine traditional Chinese ink painting techniques: water and oil separation, inkjet, etc.; high school students, proficient in painting techniques, and develop preliminary Research and observation skills.

 

Although I did not directly participate in teaching after going German in 2016, I continued to participate in the curriculum design and active discussions with the other teachers. In 2019, due to the Covid-19, the studio could not be opened. It was a big blow to us. We stared the online class. We have tried recording and broadcasting from traditional offline teaching to online teaching. Although there are many difficulties, we are also exploring and improving Online teaching is also a new way in the future, which can break geographical restrictions and time also more flexible and freedom.
